We've cut corners on our wedding and will have eliminated almost $5,000 in extra costs, however, our budget is still in the 5 figure range, with most of that related to the reception alone.  Some folks might say it's tacky to even mention this, and that by all rights, in a traditional wedding, it's taboo.  It's also traditional that the bride's family ends up paying for the wedding.
